Affordable Housing for All: A teach-in- on the fight for rent regulation and to prevent homelessness

Join congregation s and tenants of the Bronx and Westchester

All are welcome

  • 6:30-7:00pm: Briefing to the Faith communities

Join congregation leaders and members in learning about the work of Interfaith Assembly on Homelessness & Housing. We'll discuss our life-skills programs to help those who have been homeless to rebuild their lives. To register for this event please email tiffany@iahh.org or call 212.316.3171

  • 7:00-8:00pm: Tenant Workshop

Join a workshop on the fight to keep neighborhood rents low. Senator Jeff Klein and other local State Senators have blocked crucial legislation to protect tenants. Together, we can fight back and defend rent regulation.

From the #4 Train: Take the #4 train to Woodlawn, transfer to the Bx34 bus. Exit bus at Katona Avenue. Walk East on 242nd Street. Turn right on Martha Avenue and left on East 241st Street.

From the #2 Train: Take the #2 train to Nereid Avenue (which is 238th Street). Walk North on Nereid Avenue towards Richardson. Continue walking for about 10 minutes. Turn left on East 241st Street.
