We cannot merely pray to You, O God, to end war:
For we know that You have made the world in a way

The Ancient Rabbis of the Talmud taught: "People who live in hovels are like nomads wandering through the desert, for they cannot feel confident they will live another day." Said one Rabbi: living in a hovel is like living in your own grave"

When the Son of Man comes in his glory, escorted by all the angels of heaven, he will sit upon his royal throne, and all the nations will be assembled before him. Then he will separate them into two groups, as a shepherd separates sheep from goats. The sheep he will place on his right hand, the goats on his left.
Holy One,
We believe that in death all people are equal; yet sadly, in life we divide and separate and segregate people into artificial and tragic categories. We confess that we have all participated in this injustice.
And now, in remembering those who have died, may we learn from the death that awaits us, and while we yet live, to respect the humanity of every living person.
So to keep me from being too elated by the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from being too elated. Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me.
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Thousands of people may live in a community but it is not one of real fellowship until they know each other mutually and have sympathy for one another. A true community has faith and wisdom that illuminate it. It is a place where the people know and trust one another and where there is social harmony.
Those who dwell in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the almighty.
