Interfaith Assembly Speakers Bureau members will present to a group of youth from First Congregational Church in Deep River, CT who are coming to New York to participate in the Midnight Run homeless outreach program.

City Council hearing on Forced Landmarking of Churches - Tuesday, April 20, 11am - City Hall
Start: 11:00 am
End: 2:00 pm

20 years ago, the Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew, at 86th street and West End Avenue, was landmarked against the will of the congregation. Since that time, the social justice mission of St. Paul and St. Andrew has been severely constrained by the significant costs of maintaining the bricks and mortar of the church - since landmarking brings with it virtually no funds to preserve the landmarked property.
