As you all know, on Tuesday night, a devastating earthquake hit Haiti 15km from the capital. Reaching a magnitude of 7.0, it was the worst earthquake Haiti has experienced in 200 years. The extent of the devastation is still unclear, but as many as 50,000 people have died and millions more are affected.

Social Concerns Address

Marc Greenberg, Interfaith Assembly on Homelessness and Housing Executive Director, will speak at the Social Concerns Annual Luncheon at the Society for the Advancement of Judaism, 15 West 86th Street. The Social Concerns Luncheon will be after services in the Social Hall and will start around 1:00PM

The Luncheon will be in recognition of the contributions of its past chair, Ms. Anne Meyers, who died this past year at age 91. Marc and Anne helped to found the Beyond Shelter Coalition of West Side Synagogues for Permanent Housing, on who's Board Marc still serves.
